This project explores a modern Japandi bathroom concept designed as a private retreat, combining interior space with a serene outdoor garden and a small reflecting pool. The intention was to create a calm, minimal environment focused on balance, material honesty, and a strong connection to nature.
A key feature of the project is the integration of the garden space, where greenery, natural light, and water elements extend the experience beyond the interior. The outdoor pool acts as a visual and emotional focal point, enhancing the feeling of calm and retreat.
The bathroom layout was carefully planned to support a sense of openness and flow, while maintaining privacy and functionality. Natural stone, dark ceramic tiles, and warm wood elements were selected to create contrast without visual noise. The material palette is restrained and tactile, reinforcing the minimal, zen-driven atmosphere requested by the client.
This project reflects a design approach rooted in simplicity, balance, and spatial experience, where less becomes more.
